Yes they can! Cats are phenomenal, super hero creatures who can do many amazing things. They are tiny and so soft and cuddly, but don’t let that fool you. Domestic cats have a lot of physical prowess, similar to their big cat cousins in the wild.
Their big cat cousins such as tigers, lion, panthers and jaguars are excellent swimmers.
Now, we certainly know that many cats do not like water. So definitely do not use these photos as a catalyst to try and get your cat to do something they do not naturally like. These cats below have probably been introduced to the water slowly and on their own terms. Furthermore, there are some breeds that do enjoy the water.
Even though these are adorable photos, humans should always let cats and their own nature lead the way.
